Patricia A. (Sweeney) Nettel, age 86, a lifelong resident of Manchester, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026, with her beloved daughter by her side, at her home following a period of declining health. She was the widow of Albert F. Nettel, to whom she was married for 46 years prior to his passing on Aug. 1, 2018. 

She was born December 12, 1939 in Manchester, NH to the late John & Gladys (Page) Sweeney. She was a Graduate of St. Joseph High School in Manchester, class of 1957. 

She went on to Mt. St Mary’s and earned a degree in education. She received her Masters Degree in Science from UNH, and then CAGS Certification in Math. She began work in 1961 as a high school math teacher for several years prior to becoming the department head. She then was the curriculum coordinator, and ended her career as an assistant principal. She was a dedicated and well - respected educator that retired after 40 years in the Manchester School District. 

She and her husband were active parishioners of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Manchester. They volunteered at the Blessed Sacrament Food Pantry for many years. Patricia was a devoted mother who very much enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Mary and granddaughter, Meghan. She enjoyed traveling, and was especially fond of the family beach house at Hampton Beach. 

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary & Matthew Wade; and her granddaughter, Meghan Wade, all of Manchester.
