Luz Rohan

Luz Barrios Rohan, age 94 of Bedford, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving daughters, on August 6, 2026. Born in Brooklyn, New York, the fourth daughter of Jose Barrios and Alice (Higgins) Barrios, she lived in East Northport, New York, and Glen Ridge, New Jersey, before moving to Bedford 48 years ago with her beloved husband of 49 years, the late Thomas P. Rohan, Jr., and their family.

She will be remembered by everyone she met for her outgoing personality, energy, and infectious laugh. She was happiest spending time with her children, grandchildren, and particularly her great-grandchildren. She also loved every beach she visited, including Coney Island, New York; West Dennis, Cape Cod; Lavallette, New Jersey; and many more.

She was the loving mother of Thomas P. Rohan III and his wife, Kathy M. Rohan, of Mountain Lakes, New Jersey; Barbara J. Turmelle and her husband, Tracy Turmelle, of Bedford; Patricia L. Rohan of Bedford; and Steven C. Rohan and his wife, Michele Rohan, of Brookville, Maryland.

She was the loving grandmother of Cory Turmelle; Robert T. Rohan (Shannon D. Rohan); Connor Turmelle; Nicole Rohan Spilletti (Peter Spilletti); Madelyn (Maddie) G. Rohan; and Mia A. Rohan, and the loving great-grandmother of Kinley M. Spilletti and Carlyn R. Spilletti.

SERVICES: A Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10th from 4:00-7:00pm at Lambert Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 11th at 10:00am at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Bedford, NH. Burial to follow at Bedford Center Cemetery.
