Kristen A. Dewyngaert

Mar 6, 1980 — Aug 15, 2026

Our beloved Kristin (Winer) Dewyngaert, age 46, of Manchester, NH, passed away on August 15, 2026, after a lengthy and hard-fought battle with cancer.

Kristin was born on March 6, 1980, in Everett, MA, to Glenn and Kathleen Winer. Kristin studied child psychology at Southern New Hampshire University and went on to touch many young lives as a paraeducator for the Manchester School District. She also worked in various sales and customer service positions; however, her true joys in life were spent with the people she loved.

Kristin was a beloved mother, wife, and friend. Above all, Kristin was a loving and devoted mother to her 14-year-old son, Jacob, who was the center of her world and her greatest source of pride. She cherished the time they spent together, sharing silly internet memes while sitting on the porch, battling it out on Roblox, building Legos, and laughing at their own shared private jokes. Those moments meant everything to her. Their bond was special, and the relationship and love she had for her son will remain one of the greatest parts of her legacy.

She was a devoted wife to her husband of 16 years, James Dewyngaert. Jimmy and Kristin had an instant connection, and together they built a life that dovetailed and complemented one another. Their marriage was a partnership, and they were always stronger together. In Jimmy, Kristin found a loyal, devoted partner, stability, and a family that loved her for exactly who she was. Jimmy knew and loved her strong opinions, her stubborn streak, her sense of humor, and her unmistakable firecracker personality better than anyone. In her, he found a dedicated and devoted partner who loved him. Their son, Jacob, is the best of them both.

Kristin is survived by her loving husband, James; her son, Jacob; her mother-in-law, June Dewyngaert; her step-mother Valerie Nelson, her brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Stacey Baker; her uncle and aunt, Lenny and Carol Murphy; their children, Jesica and Joey, her best friend, Angella Dyer; and several friends and members of her loving extended family.

She was predeceased by her mother, Kathleen Ann Winer; her father, Glenn Winer; and her grandparents. She will be deeply missed by all. She will be remembered for the strength of her spirit, her sense of humor and laughter, and, most of all, for the love she had for her family.

A private celebration of her life will be held for family at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Kristin's name to Living LFS, The Li-Fraumeni Syndrome Foundation at https://livinglfs.org/donate/.
