Helen L. Ayotte (St. Hilaire), 66, of Manchester, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Sherbrooke Canada on February 1, 1960, to Fernand and Jocelyne (Rouillard) St. Hilaire, moving to New Hampshire with her family when she was 2 years old. Helen graduated from Memorial High School in Manchester and, after working for many years, returned to school to earn a Bachelors degree in Accounting at Southern New Hampshire University in 1999.

Helen worked as a waitress in Manchester for 37 years at restaurants including Chez Vachon, Andy’s Place, and Mother Goose. She loved spending time with her regular customers and was always ready with a smile and a laugh. She cherished her family and friends and taking care of those close to her. In her free time, she loved motorcycling with her husband, reading, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son Shawn Ayotte of Manchester and her loving stepchildren Susan Ireland of Litchfield, Roy M. Ayotte II of Harrisville, Penny Ayotte of Swanzey, Sherri Ayotte of Swanzey, Patrick Ayotte of Brattleboro VT, Bonni Ayotte of Swanzey; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; her siblings Rene St. Hilaire of Indian Land, SC, Rocky St. Hilaire of Merrimack, Linda Winchenbaugh of Manchester, Francis St. Hilaire of Manchester, Carole Bowley of Manchester, and Ken Greenley of Salem; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Helen was predeceased by her husband Roy, her father Fernand, her cousin Brigitte, and her siblings-in-law Edgar, Theresa, and Alfred.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held from 3pm to 6pm on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm Street, Manchester. A prayer service will begin promptly at 6pm in the Lambert Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s name can be made to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
