Manchester

Dennis A. Plumpton, 75, of Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, with his two loving daughters by his side. Born on October 31, 1950, Dennis lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to his family, and the love and friendship he gave so freely to those around him.

Dennis was a hardworking man with an incredible work ethic. He spent many years working in foundations and eventually built and ran his own business. He took great pride in his work and believed in doing things the right way. He also proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army Reserves.

Above all else, Dennis was a family man. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was everything anyone could ever ask for in a father, and his love and devotion to his family were evident in everything he did. To those who knew Dennis, he was so much more than the roles he held in life. He was a man people could count on, a hard worker, a loving father and grandfather, and a loyal friend. His presence brought strength, love, and warmth to the lives of the people around him. He was the best of us.

Dennis leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will carry his love with them forever. He will be deeply missed, but the example he set and the love he gave will live on through his daughters, grandchildren, family, and all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Rest peacefully, Dennis. You were everything a family could ever ask for, and you will never be forgotten.

Dennis was predeceased by his mother: Theresa Landry; the man he was raised by: Otis Corthell; his beloved wife: Maria (Gosselin) Plumpton; his brother: David Plumpton; and his sister-in-law: Donna Plumpton.

He is survived by his two wonderful daughters: Bethany Hobbs and her husband James Hobbs, and Victoria Plumpton-Natal and her husband Adam Lee Natal; his two brothers: Donald Plumpton, and Drew Plumpton and his wife Jeanette; his three sisters: Deborah Nichols and her husband Dave, Darlene Plumpton Huot, and Diane Fletcher and her husband Don; his sister-in-law: Priscilla Plumpton; his four grandchildren, Ashton, Olivia, Cora and Athena, who were truly the absolute light of his life; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
