Constance M. Barbaro

Constance M. (LaTorre) (Cummings) Barbaro, 97, of Manchester died at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of Anthony and Alice (Tammaro) LaTorre. She attended St. Mary’s High School in Lynn, MA and earned a BA in Literature from Emerson College.

Prior to retirement, she had worked as an educator for the Manchester School System.

She loved cooking and was a longtime communicant of St. Catherine Parish. Her family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice, Cornerstone Home Health Care, and the Barbaro family for the wonderful care they offered Connie during her period of declining health.

She was predeceased by her first husband, John Cummings.

Family members include her husband, George A. Barbaro of Manchester; her sons, William A. Cummings and wife Judy of Dallas, TX, Robert Cummings of Francestown, NH; her granddaughters, Katherine Thacker and husband Donald, Madeline Cummings; great-grandchildren, Everett and Clementine Thacker.

A calling hour will be at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, on Wednesday, October 21st from 9 to 10 am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated in St. Catherine Church at 10:30.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
