Carol A. Donovan

Carol A. (LaBrecque) Donovan of Bedford, NH, passed away on August 31st, 2026. Born in Lawrence, MA on August 30th, 1936, Carol was part of a large, lively French-Canadian family.

 A graduate of Lawrence High School, Carol was a fiercely-independent woman who knew what she wanted and then set about getting it. She loved being a mother to Darlene and Scott, and she loved being a grandmother to Kylie. She married the man she loved, Donald Donovan, and lived with him until the day he died. With homes in Bedford, Hampton, and Scottsdale, Carol made friends wherever she lived. She was known for her wicked sense of humor and her “damn the torpedoes” approach to life.

 She is survived by her daughter Darlene Donovan and her husband Eoin Reilly, her niece, Kylie Donovan, her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Donovan-Fox, her sister, Lois Stott, and many nephews, nieces, family members, and friends. She will be deeply missed. 

Services will be private at the family’s request. A reception for friends will be held at the Manchester Country Club on October 18th.
